The One Work Jacket

Alright, here we go

June 4th, Folk House, Park Street. Six weeks. Wednesdays. 2 to 5 PM.

Come one, come all, to the Folk House on Park Street, where the hum of the sewing machine meets the grit of hands-on craft, where waxed canvas bends to the will of the maker, where time slows to the rhythm of needle and thread. A jacket, but not just any jacket—a one-time, a never-again classic. Built for the road, for the work, for the rain, for the years ahead.

You’ll stitch it together with:

• Organic rugged twill from Haley Stevenson, sure as a steel-toed boot on wet pavement.

• Corduroy collar and sleeves from Brisbane Moss, soft where it counts, tough where it matters

• Brass hardware, leather-backed, like old saddles and long journeys

• Four pockets—for tools, for treasures, for hands in search of warmth

It’s boxy, roomy, built for work, built for stories, built to be worn down by the wind and built back up by the miles. A jacket that remembers. A jacket that earns its keep. We sew with respect for the fabric, respect for the craft, respect for the work—always and forever here in the UK. This isn’t for the faint of heart. You’ll need sewing machine experience, a steady hand, a willing spirit. A few weeks of your life in exchange for something real, something made by you, something that won’t exist again. Come sew. Come make. Come build. One time only. Never again.
